As inspectors we would normally be looking for clues of this type of damage, it’s normally hidden behind degrading stucco.

This wall has been opened up for repairs. The extent of the damage is impressive considering it only had limited exposure to the elements.

Moisture has completely destroyed a 2”x10” floor joist, leaving the wall hanging in mid-air above its foundation.
